Cherpa is an educational, non-regulated financial coaching tool. We do not provide FCA-regulated financial advice and we do not recommend or sell financial products.Cherpa.ai Ltd (“Cherpa”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is building an educational, voice-first money coach for women.

2. What this policy covers

This policy explains how we handle your information when you:

• join our Early Access list,

• take part in surveys, interviews or research sessions, or

• visit our website before Cherpa’s full launch.

It tells you what we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it, and what rights you have.

3. What we collect

At this stage we keep things simple and collect only what we need:

• Contact details – name and email so we can reach you.

• Survey or interview responses – your views or feedback about Cherpa or money confidence topics.

• Research notes or recordings (if you agree) – used only for internal analysis to improve the product.

• Basic technical data – your browser or device type, recorded automatically by our website host for security and performance.

We don’t collect financial details or sensitive personal data (such as health or beliefs).

4. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• send updates about Cherpa and early access opportunities (consent),

• run surveys and research to understand our users better (legitimate interest),

• analyse responses and identify patterns to improve the service (legitimate interest), and

• reply to questions or feedback (legitimate interest).

We never sell your information and don’t use it for advertising.

5. Who we share it with

We sometimes use trusted service providers who help us send emails or run surveys (for example Typeform or Google Forms).
They act only on our instructions and can’t use your data for anything else.
If any data is stored outside the UK, we use approved data-protection safeguards so it stays protected.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your data only as long as we need it to run our early-access and research programmes.

• Early Access sign-ups – until you unsubscribe or for up to 12 months after launch, whichever comes first.

• Survey and interview data – kept for up to 12 months after analysis then anonymised or deleted.

• Technical logs – kept for security purposes only and deleted regularly.

If you choose to join the live Cherpa service later, we’ll ask you to accept a new privacy policy at that time.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

• see the data we hold about you,

• ask us to correct or delete it,

• withdraw your consent at any time,

• ask us to stop using it, and

• complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (www.ico.org.uk) if you’re unhappy.

8. Cookies

At this stage we don’t use any analytics or tracking cookies. Only essential cookies may be used by our website host to keep the site secure and working properly.
You can control cookies in your browser settings any time.

9. Accessibility

We’re building Cherpa to be inclusive for everyone – meeting WCAG 2.1 AA standards, using clear language, accessible colours, and voice-first design.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our product evolves or if we start collecting new types of information.
The latest version will always be on our website, and we’ll email you if anything important changes.
